about lush life

Nancy Dragun Tate, owner of Lush Life Floral, dreams daily of tiptoeing thru the tulips. After receiving a BA in Art History from Vassar College, studying at The Floral Design Institute in Seattle, and picking up tricks and techniques from talented designers along the way, Nancy started her own floral studio in 2007.  She finds inspiration in the simple glory of natural forms, and believes that it's possible to bring this beauty into our lives and our homes -- while at the same time practicing social and environmental responsibility.  Her designs feature not only flowers but fruits, vegetables, mosses, rock, and other found objects from nature.

Nancy is also happily engaged on the other side of the design spectrum in her work with the Department of Architecture, in the College of Built Environments at the University of Washington.
